The Solemnity of the Most Holy Eucharist The Holy Eucharist is the only Sacrament having a Feast for it. Though the Church celebrates the Foundation of the Holy Eucharist on Maundy Thursday, it has a special day to celebrate the Mysteries, by a special Feast, formerly known “Corpus Christi”. No other Sacrament has a feast.

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi has different themes. Cycle A invites us to reflect on the theme — The Eucharist as our food and drink. Cycle B emphasises the Eucharist as the sign of the covenant. And Cycle C focus is on the Priesthood of Jesus.

The Holy Eucharist is the Heart of the Church. The Holy Eucharist is “the Source and Summit of Christian Life” ( CCC 1324).

The entire life of Jesus is celebrated and made present by God the Father through the Power of the Holy Spirit.

It’s made present by the Father, through the Holy Spirt as it happened at the Incarnation — the Word became flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit.
